Exhibitors
Conventa exhibitors range from convention bureaux, tourist boards, PCOs and DMCs to congress centres, convention hotels, special venues, event agencies, airline companies and more. Exhibiting companies from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Turkey and parts of Austria and Italy can present their meetings industry services to carefully selected buyers at the Conventa show.

Hosted buyers
Hosted buyers are carefully selected meeting planners from associations, corporations and event agencies. They organise, influence or make budgetary decisions for international meetings, incentive travel, conferences, product launches, staff training initiatives and events. Hosted buyers have a unique opportunity to personally meet the suppliers to the meetings industry of the South East Europe under one roof, thus establishing new and maintaining existing business partnership.

Invited buyers
Invited buyers are meeting planners from the corporate, government and association segments with an interest in South East Europe as a meeting and incentive travel destination. From the hosted buyer programme they enjoy free entrance to the Conventa trade show and access to the social events.

Trade visitors
Trade visitors are meeting industry professionals who attend the Conventa trade show to network with their colleagues and business partners. They are welcomed to the trade show and its social events, without the facility of arranging individual appointments.

Media
Media representatives visit the Conventa trade show to report on its highlights, exhibitors, innovative products, the latest news and the development of the regional meeting industry market. The media can therefore raise the profile of the trade show, its exhibitors and the meeting industry as a whole.

Guests
Conventa guests are political, economic and diplomatic representatives with influence over the strategic development of the meeting industry, the tourism sector and/or the economy.

Eco Village
Eco Village presents our inspired initiative to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection and social responsibility in the growing meeting world of South East Europe. Eco Village presents a number of sustainable solutions through which meeting professionals can add value to their products.

Meetings Services Spot
Providers of information technologies and systems, technical equipment, congress and promotional materials and marketing and event production can present their offer to their potential
business partners at Conventa’s Meetings Services spot. The ‘Meetings Services’ spot gives providers of technology and event solutions a unique opportunity to reach and develop personal relations with new clients from South East Europe’s meetings industry.

Conventa wild card
Conventa wild card programme aims to help new or emerging meeting industry providers to enter the global market and thus increase the competitiveness of the entire region. The Conventa free wild card grants the meeting industry providers coming from a South East European country with lower trade per capita (WTO, October 2012), who had never before exhibited at Conventa, an opportunity to present their offer at the Conventa trade show free-of-charge. The winners of Conventa wild card programme 2013 are conference hotel Zira Hotel Belgrade from Serbia and Exploring Macedonia agency from Macedonia.

J-M: NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Conventa social and networking events
In addition to providing a business platform for prescheduled one-to-one appointments, Conventa offers a wide range of social and networking events. On 15 January 2013, Conventa invites the participants to attend the Welcome reception held in Grand Hotel Union. Black and white reduta, the traditional masquerade ball that was one of the most exclusive events in Ljubljana in the beginning of 20th century, serves as an inspiration for our first reception. Join us in creating a carnival atmosphere and come dressed in black and white. The Official reception will be held on 16 January 2013 at 19.30 in Cankarjev dom. Guests will be distinguished representatives of political and economic society in South East Europe. Opening speeches and award ceremony will be accompanied by music, exquisite food and a good glass of wine. We will be rolling out the red carpet!

Conventa mingling
In the last hour of the show, the Conventa participants are invited to Conventa mingling that is designed to accelerate business introductions. Conventa mingling facilitates the meeting of Conventa participants who may not have had the opportunity to exchange information. The participants have the opportunity to exchange business cards and therefore expand their pool of partners.

N-Q: EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Professional education
Conventa offers opportunities to gain in depth knowledge, learn about best practice examples and discuss the latest industry trends. On the first day of Conventa, 15 January 2013, the participants have a chance to attend a plenary session titled “How best to work with European agencies”. The session will explore what agencies are looking for from destinations, DMCs, venues, conventions hotels and CVBs. It will also answer the question how to get an emerging destination onto their radar.

Meeting stars award
Meetings Star Award recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of marketing destinations, congresses, events and meeting industry service providers from South East Europe. The award represents a noticeable recognition for creativity, knowledge and work. The recipients of the Meetings stars award will be revealed at the Official reception.

IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum
The Forum is one of the premier educational programmes in the meetings industry calendar and over 4.600 students have benefited from the experience since it began in 2003. Students from South East Europe are invited to participate at the IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum. The Forum presents a great opportunity for the students to listen to top international speakers, learn about the meeting industry and meet industry leaders.

U-R: EXPLORING THE REGION
Conventa fam trips
As a key part of Conventa, fam trips are organized to several selected destinations of the South East Europe region. They offer the opportunity for first-hand experience of the destination and a chance for hosted buyers to verify that the presentations given at one-to-one meetings are indeed accurate. The hosted buyers are invited to attend fam trips to Ljubljana, Portorož and Piran, Lake Bled, Opatija & Istra, Zagreb, Maribor and Međimurje as well as Bohinj.

During the Conventa trade show the programme will be enriched with updated videos, highlights, informative interviews with meeting industry professionals, personal presentations of destinations, meeting industry suppliers and planners from the South East Europe region and much, much more. Meeting industry professionals expect a techfriendly experience. Conventa enables meeting industry professionals to get up-to-date information on our mobile site. Conventa sustainable management
Conventa is committed to reduce the negative environmental impacts of the trade show by implementing sustainable practices that add value to all participants and the local community. The participants are invited to take part in our sustainable endeavours and participate in Conventa sustainability programme. The Sustainability programme highlights 15 sustainable practices implemented at the Conventa show and invites the participants to focus their attention also on sustainable practices. Those who will take a moment and carry out at least three initiatives, will enter our competition for a chance to win sustainable experiences in the region of South East Europe.
