Congress Innsbruck is set to boost its outstanding international reputation in future by expanding into the world of gastronomy and handing over the reins to a new exclusive caterer in July. Donhauser GmbH, headquartered in Lower Austria, proved successful in a European call for tenders and hopes to make future visits to Congress Innsbruck a truly enjoyable and indulgent experience.
A new service concession has been awarded for exclusive catering at Congress Innsbruck. Donhauser GmbH won the contract in a European call for tenders. At the same time, Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI) is transferring its shares in COME-INN Gastro GmbH the company responsible for providing the catering at Congress Innsbruck, among other things to Donhauser GmbH.
Christine Oppitz-Plörer, Mayoress of Innsbruck
Mayoress of Innsbruck Christine Oppitz-Plörer stresses the importance of Innsbruck as a location for conferences and the like because: “it is so well-known outside of Austria,” adding: “This partnership places us in the best possible position to cater to the tastes of our national and international guests alike both in terms of the food and the overall experience.”
Improving conference and event management
Donhauser GmbH is among the leading restaurant and catering companies in eastern Austria and undoubtedly deserves to be called an all-round gastronomic expert, as Chairman of the CMI Supervisory Board Herbert Weissenböck would have it: “We are very glad to have gained such a versatile and talented caterer for Congress Innsbruck. Awarding this contract will provide a significant boost to Congress Messe Innsbruck in terms of its conference and event management activities.” Donhauser GmbH has also received a positive response from the partners of COME-INN Gastro GmbH. COME-INN Gastro GmbH is in charge, for example, of the ORF canteen (ORF: Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) and looking after VIP guests from FC Wacker Innsbruck or Swarco Raiders Tirol.
