Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia will host one of their mayor sports event this weekend, legendary Volkswagen Ljubljana Marathon. Already 21 years in a row, the event offers a unique route for marathon and half marathon run, recreational run, together with Lumpi run (kids run). In all the year’s event, has truly become a legendary running/sport event gathering recreate and professional runners that occupy the streets of this amazing city with and every year the number is increasing.
Additionally, last 5 years the event is strengthened with additional »Tečem« — EXPO Volkswagen Ljubljana Marathon fair, held at GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. The location in the centre of the city just a step away from the marathon starting point at Slovenska street gathers over 20,000 visitors every year with a wide offer customized for International runners.
This year Volkswagen Ljubljana Marathon will be held on 30th October and free admission fair “Tečem” (Running) will be held from 27th to 30th October where 18242 runners from 57 countries and everybody, from runners and their families, athletes, fans and passers-by will have the opportunity to discover the world of running sport and sport in general, mayor sport brands, providers of nutritional supplements and many more exhibitors presenting their offer. This year the speciality of the fair will be a Marathon Center of Sports Medicine where all the runners and visitors could get free expert advice and take quick medical check-ups.
