MCI’s business unit operating in Brazil from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre respectively, received 7 trophies in the annual event awards ceremony offered by the Brazilian magazine “Revista Eventos” The prestigious Caio awards are handed to the most influential agencies, events and personalities of the local event industry and MCI Brazil was announced a winner in 7 categories, obtaining 3 Golden, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Alligator trophies.

The highlight of this success is the Golden award received in the category “Best International Event held in Brazil” for the Campus Party, followed by another Golden for the Cardiology Congress of Rio Grande do Sul (SOCERGS), in the category “Best Regional Congress”. The third Golden Alligator award, the iconic symbol of the Prêmio Caio ceremony, was given to Rodrigo Cordeiro, Director of Congresses at MCI Brazil, who was nominated by the organising committee and voted by the local MICE professionals as the “Events Personality of the Year”.

MCI Brazil has also acquired 2 more awards for their outstanding work throughout the year: Silver Alligator for the XXVIII Brazilian Congress of Dermatological Surgery (CBCD) in the “National Congress” category, as well as another Silver Alligator award for the “Best Medium Size Booth” on behalf of their clients at Merck Group, for the 2016 FCE Pharma exhibition. The third silver trophy was awarded to MCI Brazil for winning the “Best National Bid” for the upcoming 2018 XXX Brazilian Congress of Dermatological Surgery. The 7th and final award, was the Bronze Alligator given for the “Best International Incentive Trip” organised for their partners at Biolab Pharma, which took place in Marrakech, Morocco.

The Prêmio Caio award ceremony and the Alligator awards are given to honour the leading event professionals and most creative and innovative event agencies, confirming the quality and value of the Brazilian events segment in the international industry landscape. MCI Brazil is honored to receive these awards and will proudly continue to contribute to the group’s global expansion and success.
