After thorough renovation and modernisation, the Tamaris congress centre in the Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta in Opatija, in which the Milenij Hoteli group invested a total of 1.1 million euro, has been transformed into a conference park whose new philosophy has brought a breath of fresh air and a different approach to Opatija’s congress offer. Opatija is one of the leading tourist and congress destinations in Croatia, and this new concept of the Milenij Hoteli group has been created to introduce a new tourist service in line with the challenges and changes in the modern way of doing business, radically changing the way companies work in terms of physical surroundings but also establishing a new mind-set where business and leisure intertwine in a creative mix that generates fresh ideas and business growth. The term ‘a town on a small scale’ is probably the best description of our new conference park, since in its immediate vicinity you’ll find everything that you need to bring this new concept into being and make it reality.

What do the ‘Sea Office’, ‘Out of Office’ and ‘Market’ sub-brands represent in the philosophy of the new Conference Park 25/7?
The idea is to provide our guests with a variety of new opportunities at three different levels. The ‘Sea Office’ is the starting point. This offers the possibility of working in different surroundings compared to the daily office environment in order to enable you to develop your business ideas in a relaxed sea and park environment. This is a new view of work. Start your day with a healthy breakfast, a yoga or Pilates lesson, or a walk by the sea along the Lungomare coastal promenade, which is located just a few steps away, and then continue with your work full of positive energy, inspired and open to new ideas. This is the objective of our ‘Out of Office’ and ‘Thinking Outside of the Box’ sub-brands: to encourage thinking in an original way. They were created on the basis of the well-known premise that the best ideas always occur outside the usual working environment. We would like to invite business people to move their offices from rainy and foggy city centres to Opatija and to work in a pleasant seafront environment for a while. Lectures, workshops and seminars can be held here in the open air, by the sea or pool, in a park or on a terrace with a view. We also offer plenty of opportunities for incentives and team building programmes, ranging from sports and other activities in the open air, by the sea or in a wellness centre, to a variety of gourmet experiences in unique settings, as well as daytime and evening entertainment events throughout the year. The ‘Market’ sub-brand means doing business in an unusual way. It is oriented towards small businesses or start-ups, who we invite to present their products and services to the wider community and visitors. This would open up the door to progressive ideas at the local and regional levels, and beyond.

Our ‘town on a small scale’ consists of…

In an area of approximately 2,000 m², we offer 9 multi-purpose halls with state-of-the-art multimedia equipment. Technology is used so as not to distract from the focus of what is being presented but to enable participants to become better involved in the conference. These are standard applications, such as asking questions, giving feedback on lectures, integrating with social networks, and transferring the conference agenda, but also entertainment options and the opportunity to promote companies and other participants at different events. To support the conference park, there are six hotels with a total of 525 rooms, more than 400 parking spaces, excellent restaurants offering a variety of culinary experiences, bars and cafés, gourmet shops, and our unique Milenij Choco World with our own chocolates and hand-made pralines.

The offer will soon be complemented with our new hotel ‘Le Jardin’, which will be surrounded by a Mediterranean garden with an organic food and bio chocolate shop, and whose cuisine will be based on healthy and organic food. The emphasis will be on sustainable development, healthy and green food, and the entire concept will fit in perfectly with the image of Opatija as a town of well-manicured parks, green areas, and historical sites of interest.
