Excelsior in Dubrovnik shines in a new image after the renovation

Hotel Excelsior in Dubrovnik, part of the Adriatic Luxury Hotels group (ALH) welcomed its first guest after their great renovation, offering a totally new and fresh interior, perfectly designed to make their guests feel even better and give them everything and more they desire. The 5-star hotel started with the renovation in Autumn 2016 and during winter 2016-2017 has gone through renovation under the Croatian architect studio BF, together with Franić Šekoranja studio, who were commissioned for the project to revamp the famous hotel.

The investment, which involved thorough changes to all accommodation facilities (158 rooms and suites) and part of the hotel interior, created a sophisticated hotel of contemporary, unobtrusive design that highlights the historical elements and architecture of the early 20th century. With this amazing renovation, it surely need also an amazing opening ceremony of Hotel Excelsior, planned for 26th June 2017.

The 2016-2017 renovation is basically the implementation of Croatian design and product, a perfect combination of Croatian products and high quality services according to international standards and Excelsior being the Dubrovnik symbol, this is also a high standard that had to be measured up with the renovation. And they haven’t forgotten about the Abakus piano bar and terrace, the famous “heart of the hotel” which served as the meeting spot throughout all the years, now with new design, breathing modern sophisticated elegance. One of the novelties is also improvement of their gastronomic offer, welcoming restaurant Sensus located near Abakus piano bar and powered by Chef Petra Obada’s modern interpretation of Mediterranean classics.

A 10-minute walk to the Old Town of Dubrovnik, an idyllic location right on the doorstep of the ocean and amazing view on Adriatic Sea – the famous Hotel Excelsior in Dubrovnik has hosted many celebrity guests through all of its history, from Queen Elizabeth to actress Elizabeth Taylor. With their high-quality services from the beginning in 1913 when this amazing vila, later converted to Hotel Excelsior was built and the fact that their last renovation was made in 2008, completely renovating Villa Odak and its 62 rooms and renovating the hotels room and adding luxury 150 m² suite to their President Suite, it was now a time to shine and be great once again. Excelsior has been Dubrovnik symbol ever since its beginning and also serves as a meeting hub for many celebrities, locals and tourists who’ve enjoyed its amazing 5-star hospitality. Hosting many international and local congresses, conferences or corporative events at this seaside beauty will now shine again like it should … in all its beauty.
