Prominent Grand Hotel Toplice***** in Bled was the host of last week’s 5th Slovenian Association of Hoteliers Conference, where Gregor Jamnik (Director of Hotel Slon, Ljubljana) the chairman of Slovenian Association of hoteliers welcomed 82 association members, 5 international guests presenting their cases, representatives from Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development and Technology – all discussing the future of Slovenian hotel industry under the Slovenian Tourism Development Strategy 2017 – 2021, the current condition of Slovenian tourism, trends, the possibilities and its obstacles. The association goal is to represent all Slovenian regions and all sorts of hotels with mission to strive for better hotel business law, international integration, transfer and extension of good practices, increase the competitiveness of hotel operations for the appropriate professional education and training, for the organization of conferences, business information and promotion. The first conference was organized in 2013 and held at the Congress Centre Brdo near Kranj when 74 hoteliers gathered at the first ever conference of the Association of Hoteliers Slovenia, established in 2012.
