Croatian D-Resort Sibenik has become part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a prestigious international association that gathers more than 520 small luxury hotels in 80 countries of the world. With great results this year and great position in business tourism, they still have big plans: General Manager of D-Resort Šibenik, Nenad Tatarinov, is hoping to reach new markets with the membership, primarily the United States and to create a stronger positioning in the UK market.
Impact on Šibenik tourism
The membership is expected to bring more boutique and luxury guests, that demand comfort and also bring higher spending power. In the first half of 2017, D-Resort Šibenik recorded 81 % increase in overnight stays compared to the year before. The significant increase comes from guests from UK, Germany, Croatia and Benelux countries. They are also doing great in the post-season time, within the business tourism segment – hotel has positioned itself as an ideal place for smaller exclusive events.
