Expedithalle Vienna – new lease of life for rare brick building

The recently renovated Expedithalle in Vienna’s 10th district combines a modern convention hall facility with the historical architecture of Vienna’s industrial past. The city’s latest event location has a capacity of 1,500 people, offers individual services and state-of-the art event facilities.

A location that is rich in history: The Expedithalle is located at the well-known Anker bakery site, an important landmark in the city’s industrial history. Constructed in 1912, the main hall was amongst the largest column-free halls in Europe of its day. The interior steel-ribbed vaulted ceiling is an important facet of the room providing an impression of a harmonious, open space. The entire complex was refurbished and upgraded in 2016, resulting in a state-of-the art convention hall incorporating state of the art technical equipment and unique room design which blends modern utility with industrial heritage The location is perfectly suited for a variety of purposes including business conferences, gala dinners, cultural events or exhibitions. With its unique industrial atmosphere, the hall has capacity for some 1,500 people making it one of the largest of its kind in Vienna.

There are multifunctional conference and seminar rooms, a bar area and a large foyer in addition to the main 1,100 m2 hall with its extra 170 m2 stage area.
