DATAFY
Datafy.it is the Google of business contacts, where you can quickly search for business leads by position, industry in more than 100 countries around the world. It helps sales department reach decision makers worldwide. It runs its users’ search against different data sources and sends them links to results in one hour.
We spoke to Igor Panjan, CEO of Datafy to tell us a bit more about what went into developing their business and making it into a known name in the business world.

Q: What has inspired you to start the company?
My inspiration actually came from my father. My dad was a CEO of a large company and he always thought, I would follow his steps in a large international corporation. One day when I was close to finishing my faculty studies, he sent me a phone number of his friend, who was also a CEO of a similar company and he said to me: “here is the phone number, call him and talk your way into getting a job”. I said no way, I am not going to work for some corporation, I’ll work in my own company. So the idea started then, but like all things, in life, it took some time to get off the ground.
Q: What gets you out of bed in the morning?
A simple wish to make something out of myself and my team. We are in our best years and it would be a waste of time to sleep it over or to have an average 9-5 life. We have work to do.
Q: What are your biggest challenges at the moment?
The biggest challenge for us right now is growing our business. A couple of weeks ago we have just closed a seed investment and we are very lucky to work with people like Niko Slavnic, Antal Karolyi, and other guys. We have the basic resources, team, key investors with know-how and networking. All we need to do is to create a symphony out of that and that is challenging.
Q: If your startup was an animal, what would it be and why?
I think it would be a honey badger – small, bulky, stubborn, but tough as hell. Ready to take on a lot of beating. That’s Datafy.
