One of the largest events of Estonia’s 2017 conference calendar took place from August 16th to 20th when roughly 900 members of Round Table International, a young men’s charity fellowship, gathered in Tallinn for their annual World Meeting.

Hosted by Round Table Estonia, which itself has been active since 1990, the World Meeting attracted participants from 49 countries.

Programme highlights included a grand barbeque at the Estonian Open Air Museum, a Nations Night at the Tallinn Seaplane Harbour and a gala dinner with a ‘James Bond black tie’ dress code. A general meeting, smaller get-togethers, an Old Town walk and a hike through the Viru Bog were also on the schedule. Several dozen participants opted to take a comprehensive 5-day pre-tour that covered Estonia’s most popular attractions, offering castle tours, scenic nature spots and even a beach party.

Guests were accommodated at the Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel, which served as the main hotel venue for the event, and at the Tallink Express Hotel.
Round Table International was established in the UK in 1927 and has associations in more than 58 countries worldwide. Its recent World Meetings have taken place in Nepal, Sweden, Italy and France.
