The final destination is Muggia, an idyllic harbour town to the south of the old Austro-Hungarian empire town of Trieste. Breathtaking panoramas open up at every step of a route that is rich in contrasts, cross-border interest and genuinely inspiring landscapes and cultures. The stages are around 20km long and are consistently signposted, with each one taking about 6 hours to walk. Every stage leads along a defined route that can be followed in either direction, so people can decide for themselves how far they want to go and which way.
