Founded in 1980 in Hong Kong, Pacific World is a dedicated destination and event management company operating in over 40 countries and over 100 destinations in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and The Americas. For its IBTM World 2018 presence, the Pacific World commissioned Barcelona based digital artist Coral Hernandez to create interactive wall at Pacific World Stand for IBTM World Attendees.

Patricia Silvio, Pacific World’s Global Marketing Manager noted, “We decided to look outside our business to find new sources of inspiration. Art inspires and invites people to create and share. This initiative is just a starting point to explore new partnerships and find different ways to engage with attendees from different demographics, segments and cultures, especially with millennials and the X and Y generations.“

Hernandez, an award-winning digital artist, has worked with renowned brands including Custo, Estrella Damm, Betsey Johnson and Perrier. Her creation for Pacific World at IBTM is based in the idea of transformation. Patricia Silvio said that this is a perfect symbol of the company’s industry, “We are always driving the industry to evolve through new ideas, new approaches and new destinations. In turn, we strive to create experiences that engage the attendees on a personal or professional level. Her artwork reflects this philosophy and invites everyone to participate in the industry’s evolution.”

For IBTM, Coral Hernandez created an interactive, black-and-white wall featuring a stylized butterfly with the quote, “If nothing changes, there’d be no butterflies.” Guests can stand in the center of the wings and snap a photo and share with their friends and associates on social media. The butterfly’s wings are embellished with illustrations representing cultures and destinations around the world. Attendees will find the interactive wall at Pacific World’s stand, which is number O50.
