The love between the Czech automobile manufacturer and Croatia is mutual

In the past, there have been many instances of Škoda bringing its new cars to Croatia. Over a decade ago, Split hosted the world premiere for the then new Fabia Combi. But in the past year, Škoda’s events and car launches are being carried out in the manner of a conveyor belt. One of the biggest events recently happened in Split. The press premiere of the new Scala was hosted in Hotel La Meridien Lav, gathering over 800 journalists from across the world, who used the photogenic Dalmatian locations to their advantage with promoting the new model. The automobile manufacturer also shot a series of videos featuring the iconic Baška Voda, Makarska and other picturesque Adriatic destinations.

Practically in the same April time frame, Dubrovnik hosted a training for 3500 of Škoda’s dealers from Germany. A similar training will happen in May, in the brand new Grand Park Hotel in Rovinj, inviting sales representatives from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary. At the end of June, Škoda is organising an incentive experience in Šibenik for the top salesman in Škoda’s sales network.

These events undoubtedly bring Croatia excellent promotion and exposure. Journalists in such numbers are unique ambassadors of Croatian tourism, couple that with event reportages shared on social media and you have the winning sales formula. With such promotion, great direct economic effects will follow.

In the automotive sector, Croatia is well positioned on the global map and successfully parries other Mediterranean destinations.
