For the second time at IMEX, Russia will present its joint exhibit entitled RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD, organized by the Russian Convention Bureau. “One of the tasks that government officials, state bodies and professional unions face is to promote the positive image of our country abroad. As of today, the RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD brand is well recognized among professionals of the industry and has been associated in their minds with the Russian traditions of hospitality,” says Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation. “Under this slogan, Russian delegations regularly present at major international industry events seeking to straighten the country’s image as an ideal destination for events of any level, demonstrate the regional potential for holding events and attract international business events to Russia.”
“Russia is a fairly new destination in the event sphere, which has been habitually associated abroad with Moscow and St. Petersburg. It is important for us to tell our business partners that Russia has tremendous and varied infrastructure for holding events in various cities in 85 Russian regions. We have a total of 3,500 venues and more than 7,500 professional companies on this market. Varied regional peculiarities in the sphere of industry, science specialization and infrastructural capabilities allows us to offer a most relevant proposal for events of any level in a particular region,” says Aleksey Kalachev, head of the Russian delegation and CEO of the Russian Convention Bureau. “I am confident that at IMEX-2019 our exposition will demonstrate the boundless event potential of our country, and will allow the participants of the Russian delegation to establish new business relationships with foreign colleagues.”
The RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD joint exhibit is presented by event industry professionals from Moscow (Z.Brothers Company), Yekaterinburg (Urals Congress Bureau and others), Kaliningrad (Baltma Tours), Sochi (Roza Khutor Resort), and Ufa (Bashkortostan Congress Bureau). This year, the stand’s partners are the Roscongress Foundation and Congress International Company, and the region partner of the event is Sverdlovsk Region (city of Yekaterinburg). Participation of exhibitors representing different regions in the common communication space demonstrates not only the diversity and the broad range of capabilities offered by regional markets but also a comprehensive approach to development of the country as a state open for cooperation.
The business space based on the principles of openness and hospitality will include the Presentation Zone, the Negotiation Zone, the Co-Exhibitor Work Zone and the Photo Zone. This format will allow the professionals of the industry to organize an effective dialog with potential foreign partners.
The program will also include introduction to Russian traditions, tasting of Russian national cuisine dishes and other useful and informative activities.
