Organiser of EuroPrevent

Valerie Thiollet

The Specialty Congresses department is looking after the ten ESC subspecialty congresses, ranging from 600 to 6.000 participants, all dedicated to specific subspecialties of cardiology. Valerie Thiollet is managing a team of five congress managers and four operations managers, all dedicated to delivering state of the art congresses. One of her roles is to evaluate destinations and venues, and to act as an internal consultant by making recommendations to the various Boards and Committees for their future congresses. All these events are rotating throughout Europe at their own pace and decisions are made independently.

Q: Why has Europrevent decided to bring its event back to Cankarjev dom every 3 years?

The first congress was very successful and we feel that people will not get bored to return or discover the destination every 3 years. We also know that we have space for growth which is important as the congress is expanding year after year.
