The first Marriott hotel in Republika Srpska, the entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a result of a franchise agreement signed in November 2017 between Marriott International , the largest hotel brand in the world, and the domestic company MMI Development Projects. Banja Luka, the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the de facto capital of its Republika Srpska entity, lies on the Vrbas River and is known for being full of tree-lined avenues, boulevards, gardens, and parks. The new hotel, Courtyard Banja Luka, is set in the charming Banja Luka’s city centre, in the First Krajina Corps Street.
Investment, worth around 10 million euros, brought to the region the 4-Star Hotel with 118 rooms, restaurant Bistro with 100 seats, fitness centre, and 5 multifunctional multimedia congress halls set by the strict MICE standards of the international hotel chain. The 5 event rooms are spread over more than 230 square meters. The meeting rooms are ideal for small business meetings, while the conference halls offer intimate space for small gatherings.
Courtyard by Marriott’s new business hotel is just a walking distance to main Governmental points, consulates, as well as to the National Theatre, the city’s central park of Mladen Stojanović and to the Banja Luka City Stadium. Close proximity of several important buildings and locations makes a quick access to- and from the hotel for any congress or business guest. In addition, the congress and business guests will be happy to use the hotel’s state-of-the-art lobby providing great flexibility and choices with engaging technology and inviting, adaptable spaces to work and relax before, between or after meetings.
With the Courtyard Banja Luka, the city became a part of Marriott International with more than 6,200 hotels in 125 countries, with a portfolio of 30 hotel brands, with over 1.2 million accommodation units, as well as a part of the regional Marriott family, regional leader in a hotel industry, along with Belgrade, Zagreb, Sarajevo, and Skopje. Marriott International is successfully growing new hotel locations all over the world.
