Sustainability trends are shaping the meeting industry. The Conventa show has been fully committed to reduce the negative environmental impacts of the trade show by implementing sustainable practices that add value to all participants and the local community. The last editions of the Conventa trade show have highlighted the importance of engaging participants in sustainable event management. A number of sustainable measures can be implemented, however the question remains if the participants notice and value them. The fifth edition of Conventa wants to ensure the participants become aware of sustainable practices of the trade show and therefore gain new ideas touse in their future meetings and events. In 2013 Conventa thus introduces the Sustainability programme designed to engage participants in our sustainable endeavours. The Sustainability programme highlights 15 sustainable practices implemented at the Conventa show and invites the participants to follow these actions. For instance, the participants are invited to return their lanyards at the end of the trade show, so they will be donated to the Care Centre Draga, a residential care centre for people with disabilities. The proteges will use these lanyards to carry their special augmentative aids, which help them express their thoughts, needs and wants.

The participants, who will focus their attention also on sustainable practices of the Conventa show, deserve recognition for helping us achieve our sustainability goals. Those, who will take a moment and carry out at least three sustainable initiatives, will enter our competition for a chance to win sustainable experiences in the region of South East Europe. We kindly invite all Conventa participants to take part in our sustainable endeavours and participate in Conventa sustainability programme. At the trade show visit the Conventa Sustainability Point stand to find instructions for your sustainable behaviour.
