LUXURY VILLAS IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE

The village will comprise of 4 villas adjacent to Golf Diners Ljubljana‘s 15th hole, nestled next to quite possibly the neatest and tidiest golf course in this region of Europe. The village will be a one-of-a-kind and most definitely the first deluxe accommodation offer in the Central Slovenia region – luxurious, eco-built, unique and personalized. The project will also upgrade the Cubo brand, under which the Hotel Cubo currently has a presence on the market, with a new offer of accommodation of the highest category in Slovenia.

We got together with Sandi Kovačevič, Executive Director of Hotel Cubo Ljubljana, to hear a little bit more about Cubo Village, its plans and the expectations from this long-awaited, deluxe living environment.

Q: How do you see the connection between Cubo Village and business tourism?

The quality of infrastructure, the knowledge of management with tourism infrastructure and a synergy in being able to link the various tourist offers within a more comprehensive offer are the key advantages of the Hotel Cubo in Ljubljana. All of these benefits have helped the hotel to gather goodwill over the years and acquire the services that can today satisfy even the most demanding guests and partners.

Cubo village will operate in the same manner as the hotel complex, where a guest will hire only part of or the entire villa for private purposes or a business nature. At the same time, investors and partners are offered the option to buy the whole villa or only part of the villa, which can be later be returned to the management of Cubo group. The proximity to the golf course also offers the possibility of exciting incentive tourism of a higher category, where a business event can easily be linked with a game of golf.

Q: What does the project represent for Hotel Cubo, Slovenia, and for you personally?

In Slovenia, there are some providers of accommodation of a higher quality, but only a part of these focus on exclusivity and a personal approach at such a high level. You can also say that the destination, because of its diversity, variety and quality of the countless possibilities of active holidays, has the potential, but is more focused and adapted to the average tourist visitor. In the field of luxury tourism, I believe that the potential has not yet been fully developed and there are many possibilities for expansion, and at the same time for linking more providers. The opening of the first luxury complex will therefore greatly enrich the entire region.

I also believe that a boutique and exclusive complex of villas, with their varying characteristics, diversity of the offer and a differentiated offer in terms of quality, design and image, will contribute to a high value-added offer for Slovenia and thereby help to ensure the long-term positioning and development of the country as a boutique and luxury destination.

In short, I believe that the CUBO brand has the potential to develop new projects and become a quality mark of accommodation and catering services in Slovenia. In addition to the Cubo Village project we have other key projects, including the restoration and re-opening of the Kanin Hotel in Bovec. I helped to establish the Hotel Cubo project from the outset and I am proud that among guests, partners and the professional public we have managed to become one of the most recognizable hotels. Above all, I am glad that even after five years of operation the hotel continues to receive excellent comments from visitor on-line reservation systems and portals, which is certainly testament to the entire hotel team and other employees who take great care of every guest who comes to our hotel. So, for me personally, new projects and new challenges are how the successful boutique hotel story in Ljubljana carries on.

Q: When do you expect that the project will be realized?

For projects of this size it is difficult to predict an exact final date of realization. The final construction the of villas and the entire complex is only part of the way to its final implementation. A key focus for us and one of the main business elements is on guest satisfaction, and the success of the hotel complex are high-quality services, the approach employed to the guest and being able to anticipate a guest’s wishes and needs. If you want to remain at the top level of providing quality services it is necessary before any opening to have at the same time prepared standards and a programme to ensure the quality of service plan and the progress of the organisation and management of work processes, as well as plan for training and education, have a plan in place to solve guest complaints and so much more besides that.

Q: Who is your target audience when renting out the villa for business purposes?

Given that this is a unique offer in Slovenia we are entering a brand new market segment of luxury guests, which we haven’t had in Slovenia up to now. The segment of guest which we will therefore be targeting are the hosted high income bracket who are looking for an exclusive offer and ambience, personal care, a sense of security and services tailored exclusively to their needs and desires.

Cubo village will operate in the same manner as the hotel complex, where a guest will hire only part of or the entire villa for private purposes or a business nature. At the same time, investors and partners are offered the option to buy the whole villa or only part of the villa, which can be later be returned to the management of Cubo group.
