The annual European Meetings & Event Conference (EMEC 2017) was held this year from 5th until the 7th of March in one of the main conference centers of Spain, the Palacio de Congresos in Granada. The 3-day conference was featured on relevant education, networking, and business exchange for the meetings industry. EMEC provides attendees with outstanding networking and marketplace opportunities for conducting business.

Attendees got the most out of the conference experience by attending the education sessions and executive track; learning how to prepare for a perfect pitch and got the immersive experience outside of the congress centre and “the box”.

  • More than 350 registered attendees excluding support staff.
    • 89 percent from Europe
    • 11 percent from North America
  • More than 200 attendees at MPI Foundation’s Rendezvous fundraiser and networking event, which raised over $16,000.
  • Nearly 30 education sessions, including master classes, immersive experiences, meet-ups, and innovative learning sessions called EduLabs.
  • Held an intimate version of the third annual MPI Hosted Buyer Programme in Europe, which included 18 suppliers and 22 planners.
  • Debuted the MPI Academy’s new Women In Leadership Program, which had 8 participants.
