Not only Hollywood had the “Crème de la crème” gathering at 2017 Oscars last February weekend, also Slovenia had their media award ceremony and presented awards “Žarometi” (Highlights) to the best Slovenians in the field of movies, music, games and television for 2016, together with special award for socially responsible media project and media legend, which were presented by the president of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.
Four presenters of “Žarometi” included stand-up comedian Ana Maria Mitić and Miha Brajnik with actors Ajda Smrekar and Klemen Janežič, which welcomed the Slovenian “Crème de la crème” at GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention centre and their Kocka Hall, just a week after the venue successfully hosted EMA, the Slovenian contest for Eurovision Song 2017 and got many positive feedback on their improved acoustics.
Just a week later, Žarometi presented for the first time to Slovenian public. Basically, every Slovenian celebrity and everyone who works in media business had to be at the IT event at GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre and many of them shared their glamorous outfit and lively happening on their social network profiles at an event directly from the location at Kocka Hall, with 2456 m² the largest space of GR which was transformed into a prestigious venue for this occasion, including the famous red carpet and amazing scenery. With the acoustic renovation of the hall in January and February 2017 and already few prestigious projects in the beginning of 2017 successfully behind the GR team, the acoustic renovation will without a doubt bring even more big projects, concert events and events with accompanied TV recording to GR.
