Things keep looking up for Mondial Congress & Events. Founded more than 50 years ago as a one-woman department, the Professional Congress Organiser now employs more than 40 team members and organises dozens of congresses each year, in Vienna and all over Europe. These positive developments are not least thanks to the good cooperation with the many regular clients, who bring in roughly 90 percent of total revenues.

In 2017, Mondial toured Austria with ten regular clients whose congresses have more than 300 participants each. The cooperation with the Austrian Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (OEGGG) started as early as 1977. In its 40th year, the partnership still produces new successes: this year’s congress at Hofburg Vienna reached record participant and exhibitor numbers yet again. According to Mondial Congress Managing Director Stefan Walter, this kind of long-term collaboration is the ideal in the congress business: “A medical congress is not just an educational event, but a social system with its own history, traditions and culture. The longer you work together, the better you understand that and the more value you can create for the organiser, both in terms of quality and quantity.” Recently, two new national long-term clients could be won: The biannual congress of the Austrian Association of Palliative Care and the Austrian Immunization Day will both be organised by Mondial in 2019.

In 2018, the registration of 27.300 delegates, 10.000 square metres of exhibition space, 3.000 abstracts and 68.000 hotel nights in Europe will be going through the hands of Mondial. These impressive numbers stem solely from regular international clients like EuroPerio, EUROSPINE and UEG. Another distinguished new client is the Confederation of European ORL-HNS, whose future congresses will be organised by Mondial. Thus, a strong tree grows new branches and results in a rich harvest.
