The five-star Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Estepona, Marbella, announced that the redesign of its lobby and culinary venues has now begun, as part of an extensive investment in the hotel. The Management Team and architects Akos Bara have ambitious plans to create modern, elegant and opulent public spaces, which will enhance the MICE offering at the hotel.

The redesign will run from December 2017 to March 2018, and for the comfort of guests, the hotel and spa will be closed from 11 December 2017 until 16 February 2018. “I’m extremely proud to lead this project, and we will return to the market in a stronger position as we unveil a contemporary, luxurious environment that also celebrates our hotel’s heritage and beachfront location,” states Carla Lopes, General Manager.

With a completion date set for March 2018, the hotel will be fully operational for the Easter season. The redesign will increase the hotel’s attractiveness to MICE Business, enhancing their fantastic conferencing and banqueting facilities. The hotel’s flexible approach, meeting rooms which are full of natural light and large ballroom, will be matched by a striking new lobby, creating an impressive “sense of arrival”, which will set the tone for all conferences and events taking place. The new in-vogue dining venues will go hand in hand with the spacious gardens leading directly to the beach, making the hotel ideal for outdoor events, such as automotive or product press launches and private functions.

Kempinski Hotel Bahia opened in 1999. The award-winning hotel is surrounded by a footprint of 40,000 sq m of indigenous and subtropical gardens, and boasts the frontline beach location. The hotel offers spacious rooms, luxury suites, a spa, and 6 meeting rooms with plenty of natural light, one ballroom, and areas which can accommodate from 12 to 350 people in style.
