The 4th Photo Fair (Fotosejem) at GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre was held on 19 May 2018. The Photo Fair presents the intersection for all of the photography afficionados, no matter whether they work in photography for professional or amateur purpose. The event allows for an open discussion on current professional questions and enables an exchange of knowledge, experiences, ideas and views on further development of the photography no matter its form and purpose.
Every year, the Photo Fair hosts several prominent names from the world of photography in order to share advice and experience with the interested public. This year the gurus of photography and video were: Arne Hodalič, Simon Tanšek, Valentin Perko, Janez Nebec, Miha Mihilč, Yona Merel Černe, and Uroš Podlogar.
Numerous brands of photography equipment also shared their knowledge with the visitors; among them: SONY, Nikon, Studio Černe, Fujifilm, SanDisk, Fotojama and many others. Slovenia’s Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Televsion (AGRFT) as well as Higher School of Applied Sciences (VIST) contributed to the Fair as well.
In addition, the Fair offered some content and programmic novelties. For example, the visitors were able to test numerous innovations in the photography industry and to participate in the diverse set of free lectures and workshops of top-notch experts.
The Photo Fair was organised by Foto Svijet, Velike ideje and agency Glasilka. Representative of Glasilka, Mr. Vladimir Mihajlović told for Kongres Magazine that as the organisers they were: »Very satisfied with the GR’s technical organisation of the Fair, as well as with the number of visitors among which the number of younger population is increasing.«
The GR hosted the Fair in two of its halls: Povodni mož Hall and Stebrna Hall.
