The Union Hotels already reached their first renovation goal in 2018. The newly designed Premier Rooms in Hotel Lev opened their doors on the 1st of April.

The corridor on the first floor of the Hotel Lev is designed in a »back to the roots« style. The combination of color shades and wooden wall coverings that were used in the first rooms at the opening of the hotel back in the 60s.

The first floor where the Premier Room is dedicated to Luciano Pavarotti. Each of the rooms on this floor is decorated with a memorabilia plaque with Pavarotti’s illustration, which is associated with one of the Pavarotti’s occasions at the Hotel Lev.

The new contemporary design of the 22 redesigned »Premier« rooms is a proof that The Union Hotels are successfully meeting the interior design trends, and that they truly understand the needs of today’s guests. The open-plan design of the Premier Rooms is complemented by a neutral color palette, modern furniture, and luxe fabrics.

Also, the technological demands such as the laptop-sized safes, Wi-Fi, and flat-screen TVs are sophistically integrated into the design of the rooms. The upgraded TV screens offer the option to connect to smart devices (“Bluetooth sharing”). For a good night sleep, the rooms are equipped with a total or partial »black-out« option. The beds have a soft, textile headboards, and a 30 cm high mattress, and the bedding is made out of 300 times woven and ground cotton.

The feeling of serenity was created by letting go of visually upsetting patterns and embracing more texture instead. Following the modern trends, the Premier bathrooms are transformed into a serene oasis with transparent glass instead of bathroom walls, with a »walk-in« raindrop shower and selected Prija bathroom cosmetics. And for a moment of peace and silence, a soft seating area is set by the windows.

ABOUT PAVAROTTI'S STAY AT THE HOTEL LEV

Pavarotti stayed in the Hotel Lev in 1997, when he had a performance in Cankarjev dom, together with the Croatian soprano Norina Radovan and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. He was one of the first guests staying in the renewed hotel. He liked the hotel a lot, and he felt there like at home. He was talking a lot with the hotel staff and so they found out that he really liked the round club table in his room. Therefore the Hotel managers decided to give it to him as a fair-well present. One day he brought tens of ties to the reception and asked if they can be ironed. He was staying at the hotel with his future wife, the masseuse and a chef. The kitchen was arranged in the next apartment.
