The 37th ESPID – meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases – will, by estimations, bring to GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre a record number of experts.

The 37th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) will gather thousands of clinicians, researchers, residents, and students on May 6-11 in one of Slovenia’s central venues, the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. Building on the sucess and innovatino of previous meetings, ESPID 2019 will feature a wide range of sessions and learning opportunities showcasing the latest research and developments in the field hosted by leading international experts.

The organization of the Meeting is a joint effort of ESPID members from Slovenia and Croatia. Their main intent is to bring together the most prominent researchers in the field of paediatric infectious diseases, immunology and epidemiology and to fill in the gaps between these disciplines in a relaxed, smart albeit casual atmosphere. The attendees will bring their research results and ideas and will interact with fellow PID friends and colleagues from around the world. The scientific programme will be balanced with social and networking activities.

Chairs of the ESPID 2019 Meeting of the Local Organising and International Scientific Committees, Marko Pokorn from Slovenia and Goran Tešović from Croatia note: »We believe the host city of Ljubljana is an ideal venue to achieve these goals, with a nice, historic city centre, relaxing greenery and all the hotels being situated within walking distance of the conference venue.« This year the organisers are recording a record interest among the experts for the attendence of the meeting.
