Schäfer moves from the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) to the metropolis on the Rhine, where he worked as Manager International Markets, Southern Europe.
The 31-year-old previously gained several years’ experience in the MICE and tourism sector at Engadin St. Moritz Tourismus GmbH. Here he was particularly responsible for foreign marketing and regional congress management. Jan-Philipp Schäfer completed his master’s degree in sports tourism and recreation management at the German Sports University in Cologne. During this time he gained insights into the Cologne event and event industry during his studies.
