In an effort to keep growing and reaching the highest standards of MICE industry, Bratislava Convention Bureau organized the 12th Edition of Bratislava MICE days. Education, knowledge sharing, networking, practical examples, MICE news etc. for everyone who is a part of MICE industry in the Slovak capital.
MICE day is concept of educational sessions that are organised for the local community. First edition of MICE days started in 2016 and the event became an annual check point for the professional community of Bratislava.
On the 10th of October Trend Bar took place in Campus city. Over 35 participants gathered in this modern coworking space for “Trend Bar” – a lecture about marketing in MICE held by Mr. Gorazd Čad, the organizer of Conventa, the biggest trade show in the region of New Europe. The lecture titled “What works in MICE marketing and why it works?” highlighted some of the best practices of destinations marketing and emphasised the core marketing strategy that always works – content marketing.
In this new era people are most likely to get impressed via the digital platforms. And the nature of this platforms calls for good stories – high quality storytelling. The audience needs to be educated through good content, and consequently they will connect with them and establish a long-term relationship. The classic advertising today is simply not enough – your offer has to be different and unique, be it an event, product or destination. Your target audience needs to know what makes you different and unique. And you can explain and showcase that through a good content that is consistent and strategically thought through.
This year the local speaker was Svetlana Meciarova from Creative Pro event agency. She presented 10 of the most successful live marketing events that the agency organised for biggest brands like Adidas, BMW etc. All the events followed the core principal that »Life is all about experiences«, and as she pointed out, events need to be authentic, creative and innovative.
On 15th of October the lecturer was an experienced B2B online marketing expert, Mr. Rasťo Talárovič, one of the few Google Certified trainers in Slovakia, was sharing the knowledge about using LinkedIn platform as a tool for your next event.
