How well do countries of New Europe compete with the world?

There are a lot of international rankings that position countries based on different criteria. We believe that these scales can be very interesting for meeting planners, but it’s important to only track those that are globally acclaimed, allow comparability and provide some scientific value. We have put together a list of some of the best scales that position countries based on their competitiveness on a global scope. Let’s see how countries from our New Europe region fared.

Doing Business 2020

The Doing Business Report (DB) is an annually published report which was developed by a team led by Djankov in 2003. It has been elaborated by the World Bank Group since 2003 every year that is aimed to measure the costs to firms of business regulations in 190 countries.

Freedom in the World 2020

Freedom in the World is a yearly survey and report by the U.S.-based non-governmental organization Freedom House that measures the degree of civil liberties and political rights in every nation and significant related and disputed territories around the world.
