#PowerOfLiveEvents

the event industry has not disappeared in Hungary

On 10 September 2020, the #PowerOfLiveEvents conference took place in the Puskás Arena in Budapest, Hungary. The conference invited Hungarian and foreign guest speakers, who talked about reviving the market, presented crisis management “best practices” and discussed event planning in this new situation.

The event was the culmination of a 17-week online marketing campaign titled THE POWER OF LIVE EVENTS. The Power of Live Events (POLE) initiative was set up to draw attention to the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic. More than 160 companies and organizations from 25 countries have joined the campaign, led by Special Effects International and Visual Europe Group. The conference was attended by over 300 people with COVID-19 safety measures in place.

The programme continued in The Museum of Fine Arts, where a concert by the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra took place. In addition, a spectacular video mapping show took place on March 15th Square. At the same time, some of the most iconic buildings in Budapest were illuminated in blue colour as part of the campaign.

The #PowerOfLiveEvents is an impressive initiative that not only united the entire event industry but generated an exemplary co-cooperation with its positive and forward-thinking approach. With that said, Budapest is ready for events, as it has it all: conference and meeting facilities of every size, a unique atmosphere and a wide range of hidden treasures ready to be discovered for a truly memorable event.
