COSY AMBIENT FOR GUIDED WINE TOURS
Built of genuine Istrian limestone, the idea of building a Santomas wine cellar was conceived by the architect Marko Lavrenčič. Its three levels expand over 2400 m². The grapes processing plant, laboratory and tasting room are housed in the first level, storage room and room for barrique barrels are placed in the second level, while the ground floor houses a wine bank for storing the wine of customers.
An incorporated section of the new and modern Santomas wine cellar, the wine bank is almost unique in Slovenia. In the wine bank, the Santomas favourite vintages are safely and wine-friendly stored. The maturing takes place at an optimal temperature in special racks. The tasting room of Santomas wine cellar, beautifully furnished with traditional Istrian elements, offers a warm and cosy ambient for a unique wine tasting experience. The company also organizes guided wine tastings and receptions for business partners.
