Annual Congress of the European Urogynaecologcial Association (EUGA) will be this year hosted by Cankarjev dom – CD Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana. The EUGA Congress is a flagship conference for urogynecologists in Europe and represents one of the largest gatherings of researchers and industry professionals.

Considering the circumstances in the world, the organising committee of EUGA 2021 decided together with Cankarjev dom’s Congress and Event department, which has also obtained an international certificate of virtual event management, to set a hybrid congress.

“I strongly believe in the socialising and networking aspects of face to face meetings,” says Adolf Lukanović, M.D., Ph.D, EUGA 2021 Meeting Chair, “but it is a priority to allow the entire European urogynecological community to participate in this year’s congress without hesitation, safely.” EUGA 2021 will in its hybrid form present another successfully completed scientific hybrid event for Cankarjev dom which offered hybrid meetings and events already in the first wave of Covid-19 and, hence, became known as one of the pioneers of this practice.

EUGA 2021, set in Ljubljana’s Cankarjev dom, will bring together more than 700 delegates from around Europe to discuss and follow renowned international experts on the latest advances presented through a wide range of topics from innovative diagnostic and therapeutic options, basis science, as well as physiology of the vagina and pelvic organs. The scientific programme will consist of lectures, symposia, workshops, and abstract sessions.
