The 10th annual Forum of the Croatian Meetings and Events Industry, organised by The Croatian Meeting Professionals Association (CMPA) will be held on 7 December 2021 in Hilton Garden Inn in Zagreb.

After last year’s virtual edition, the traditional gathering of stakeholders of the Croatian meetings industry will be held in a hybrid format. Live participation at the Hilton Garden Inn in Zagreb will be possible with the obligatory presentation of a Covid certificate. For all those who won’t be able to participate live, the Forum will also be live-streamed.

Discussing sustainability in the meetings industry

The Forum will once again bring together key stakeholders in the Croatian meetings and event industry and business tourism. The central topic of this year’s Forum will be sustainable events, so the introductory speech on this topic will be held by prof. dr. sc. Oliver Kesar, full professor at the Department of Tourism at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. An example of good practice will be presented by Annika Rømer, Head of the Copenhagen Legacy Lab in the Copenhagen Tourist Board – Wonderful Copenhagen. After the presentation on this very relevant topic, there will be a panel discussion on sustainable events and sustainable destination development, which will be attended by leaders of several Croatian tourist boards and tourist organisations.

The traditional awards and recognitions “Ambassador of Croatian Congress Tourism” will also be awarded to the most deserving in the industry.
