“After a two-year break due to the pandemic, I am particularly pleased that the 49th World Congress of Surgery is taking place in Vienna. Austrian surgeons thus have a top international congress right on their doorstep, covering many different fields of surgery,” says national congress president Prof.Dr. Albert Tuchmann.

The congress, organized by the International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC, which has been in existence since 1902, its six integrated societies and five other participating societies, covers a broad spectrum of surgery. Up to 1,500 participants from around the world are expected to attend.

All information about the congress can be found at www.isw2022.org.
