The Dogus Group has officially started works on the construction of a five-star hotel in the building of the old Maraska factory, once the seat of the liqueur company Maraska in Zadar. In addition, with the completion of the renovation of this hotel, Zadar will get a truly exclusive accommodation capacity in a very attractive location. Hyatt, an esteemed international hotel chain, will manage the hotel.

Namely, the historical edifice of the former factory built at the beginning of the 20th century is located next to the coastline, at a pleasant walking distance from the spectacular old city and the world-known Sea organ. Zadar, the historical centre of the region of North Dalmatia, is an excellent starting point for travellers who wish to visit the idyllic Croatian islands and national parks and explore the intact beauty of the Zadar archipelago.

Hyatt Regency Zadar Maraska will be the first Hyatt brand in Croatia.

Hyatt Regency Zadar Maraska acts as part of the Regency Brand of the Hyatt International Group company, and it is the first Hyatt brand in Croatia. The Zadar hotel with its 133 spacious rooms and suites is to be distinguished by a recognizable, elegant design and the offer of excellent food and drinks. Guests will have at their disposal top-quality spa and wellness facilities. Furthermore, the hotel will have conference rooms and meeting areas that will additionally contribute to the development of conference tourism in Zadar – the Dogus Group told us.

The building of this hotel continues the rapid growth of the presence of the Hyatt brand in the region and it joins the already existing real estate of the Hyatt Regency in Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria and Serbia. Otherwise, the Dogus Group is one of the biggest private conglomerates in Turkey, and the owner is Grand Hyatt Istanbul and Hyatt House Istanbul Gebze. This hotel is to be the third property owned by the Dogus and managed by Hyatt.
