Cubex is a part of the Trimaran building which holds the LEED Platinum certification. The LEED ® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification is one of the two most respected global certification systems for internationally recognized standards in the design and construction of environmentally friendly and sustainable buildings (known as green buildings).
Furthermore, the building holds the highest LEED Platinum certification, which is only awarded to buildings that achieve the highest standards in energy efficiency, environmentally considerate design, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable development. Therefore, Cubex must adhere to the strict standards set by this prestigious certification.
Cubex utilizes 100 % electricity from renewable sources
Notably, Cubex utilizes 100 % electricity from renewable sources, reducing dependency on fossil fuels. Rainwater is used for flushing to minimize potable water consumption. For instance, the highly efficient façade with external sun protection optimizes thermal regulation within Cubex. This means the use of less cooling in summer and less heating in winter. The halls are equipped with a system for energy-efficient use of air conditioning and all spaces use energy-saving LED lighting.
Cubex Centre Prague is easily accessible through public transportation and actively supports eco-friendly transport options. This is further demonstrated by the extensive facilities available for cyclists.
