ZAGREB’S MOST OUTLANDISH VENUE STREWN WITH LUSH GREENERY

Eight years ago, Zagreb welcomed A most unusual garden to its growing addition of urban venues. The cafe, covered in verdure greenery and adorned with artisan artwork, became an instant hit and a locals’ favourite. Although not in the city centre, the venue commenced the revitalisation of the Knežija district, where visitors go to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The venue was recently renovated and now boasts a new, covered terrace.

The new terrace has rendered the garden a wintertime event place, as guests can enjoy the party indoors. A large bar turns heads on the main terrace with white, black and green wooden tables. The Monkey Terrace, on the other hand, appears eclectic, with orange, red and yellow hues and bamboo separating one terrace from the other. The venue can host boutique events, conferences or team meetings in an inspiring, jungle-themed ambience.

The space has been adorned by artworks of young artists and students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb since its opening. In addition to the sculptures, the dominant decor in the space includes patterned ceramic tiles. What makes the place a local hotspot is its commitment to remain an affordable place to drink coffee, natural tea, lemonade, spritz or a top-quality cocktail. The venue is famed for its monthly Gin Weekends and other theme events.
