In collaboration with the Slovenian event agency CREATIVE PRO Adriatic and Visual Europe Group, Croatia Airlines captivated attendees with an event that showcased the airline’s journey towards a sustainable and technologically advanced future.

Positioning itself as a leading regional airline, Croatia Airlines is integrating state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly A220-300 aircraft into its fleet. This year marks several key milestones for the airline: not only its 35th anniversary but also 20 years of membership in Star Alliance and 27 years of collaboration with Airbus.

A strategically significant move for the company is the acquisition of 15 new A220-300 aircraft, coinciding with a rebranding initiative featuring an updated corporate identity, new uniforms for flight attendants, and a comprehensive overhaul of communication tools.

The new A220 consumes 25% less fuel than the current fleet, heralding a sustainably-oriented future for air travel in the region.

The event, designed in cooperation with CREATIVE PRO Adriatic and a local PR agency, hosted 450 guests, including Croatia’s political elite. The Croatia Airlines hangar was transformed into an attractive airline cabin, and guests were greeted by the new A220 aircraft. The aircraft addresses pressing challenges in the competitive airline market, such as fuel prices, carbon emissions, EU green policies, and passenger demands. The new A220 consumes 25% less fuel than the current fleet.

One of the most talked-about highlights, based on feedback from attendees, was the video projection mapping on the fuselage of the new aircraft. This three-minute spectacle, creatively blending Croatia Airlines’ past and future with scenic projections of Croatia’s beauty, captivated the audience, who ended the show with a round of applause. The mapping was the result of collaboration between Slovenian creative teams at Visual Europe and animation studio NuFrame, initiated by Creative Pro Adriatic.

“The aeroplane mapping was a unique experience, and we are proud to be the first in the region to create a mapping show on an aircraft.”

Eva Celec, director of Visual Europe Group, said: “It is a pleasure to work with clients who trust us completely, allowing us to push creative boundaries and showcase our full capabilities. The aeroplane mapping was a unique experience, and we are proud to be the first in the region to create a mapping show on an aircraft. We look forward to more such exciting collaborations.”

Aljaž Čad, director of Creative Pro Adriatic, emphasized: “The event we created for Croatia Airlines went beyond traditional celebrations. As an agency, we wanted to demonstrate that with the right combination of content and technical execution, we can create an exceptional experience. Collaboration with the Visual Europe Group team and their animation studio was key to the success of this project, as we had to synchronize everything—from the technical aspects of the projections to the story we wanted to tell through the visual content.”
