The 32nd IT&CM Asia and 27th CTW Asia-Pacific 2024 marked a successful return to in-person meetings, delivering an unforgettable event that brought new energy to the industry. The renowned MICE and corporate travel show hosted a vibrant programme filled with invaluable business, knowledge-sharing, and networking opportunities.

This year’s event welcomed over 300 new and returning destinations, organisations, and brands, alongside more than 300 MICE, Association, and Corporate Buyers from over 50 countries and territories. Attendees took full advantage of the many procurement and networking opportunities on offer, contributing to the buzzing atmosphere on the show floor.

Pre-Event Highlights: Exclusive Pre-Tour Workshops

Delegates had the opportunity to participate in two distinct pre-tour workshops organised by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB):

Sensory Marketing: Delegates tapped into their creativity by crafting their own personalised fragrances, learning the importance of scents in brand experiences.
The Power of Art: Delegates engaged in a hands-on art session where they experienced the process of wheel-throwing and sculpting two unique clay objects, allowing them to explore the power of creativity in team building and personal expression.

The day ended on a high note with a fun-filled golfing and networking session at Topgolf Megacity. Delegates enjoyed the relaxed and informal setting which was perfect for deepening connections and unwinding after an engaging day.

Key Insights and Networking Opportunities on Day 1

The event’s first full day of activities began with CruiseXchange by IT&CMA, featuring a keynote and fireside chat. In the afternoon, the event’s opening keynote and a second fireside chat took centre stage, drawing attention to current industry trends and future prospects.

An ice-breaking session hosted by Asia Ability titled “Say Hi to Everyone,” was designed to encourage networking through a unique activity using boomwhackers to create musical rhythms. This light-hearted interaction fostered new connections and set the stage for the days ahead.

The day concluded with the Evening Get-Together which offered exhibitors, delegates, and industry professionals a chance to socialise in a casual setting over drinks and canapes. The gathering featured a series of networking activities, celebrations, and fun photo sessions at the photo booth.

Exhibition and Appointments

At their respective booths, destinations and organisations also offered fun experiential elements like activities, giveaways, and entertainment. Highlights included live milk tea and egg waffles demonstration by Hong Kong Tourism Board; networking reception and lucky draw session and workshop by Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB); food tasting by Taiwan Tourism Administration and Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, Macao SAR; lottery wheel by MEET TAIWAN; and macramé keychain workshop by Pattaya MICE City.

Bonus session of pre-scheduled appointments meant that delegates had the flexibility to explore the various conferences, educational sessions, brand engagements and showcases as well as the exhibitor’s booths. There was also the buyer incentive programme where delegates who completed their appointments received a variety of prizes that ranged from gift cards to hotel stays.

In collaboration with Asia Ability, IT&CMA and CTW APAC created a real-life game board where delegates had to visit different booths and areas to complete the tasks given to them. Tasks included taking a photo or video, and multiple-choice questions. Top scorers walked away with prizes like shopping bags, pouches, Classic Taipei Landmarks Day Tour Voucher, IHG One Rewards points, and hotel stays with breakfast sponsored by TCEB, Pattaya, MEET TAIWAN, IHG Group, Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom, The Peninsula Manila Hotel, Edison Travel Service (Taiwan) and more. The rest of the delegates gained newfound knowledge about their exhibitors.

The next edition of IT&CMA and CTW APAC will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 23 to 25 September 2025.
