In 2026, Prague will become the capital city of the leading representatives of the European biotechnology community for a few days. Prague will be the first capital in Central and Eastern Europe to host the BioEquity Europe international conference. The conference maps the crucial developments in biotechnology and brings key actors in this field together.
BioEquity Europe is the leading event in biotechnology transfer, connecting innovators, start-ups and investors who focus on this area. At the closing ceremony of the 25th conference in Bruges, representatives of the Prague.bio association officially took over the organization of next year’s conference.
Winning the organization of this prestigious event for Prague is a significant success of Prague.bio, which was founded less than two years ago. In such an unprecedently short time, the association has established itself as a networking, communication and support platform for actors in the biotechnology sector in the capital city of the Czech Republic and its surroundings, with a membership base of almost thirty entities. In addition to scientific and research institutions and biotechnology companies, there are also other member companies whose activities are directly related to this area.

BioEquity Europe will not be the first international meeting in the field: the association has been organizing its own Prague.bio conference in Prague since 2023. In the autumn of 2025, the third edition of the meeting will take place at the National House Vinohrady, with the participation of delegates from Central and Western Europe and Silicon Valley, representing dynamic startups, research and development teams and key investors.
