In the second half of June, the Prague Convention Bureau, in cooperation with its partners and members, welcomed six foreign journalists specialising in the international meetings industry. The three-day press trip offered them an excellent opportunity to see Prague not only as a city with a rich history and a charming atmosphere but above all as a professional and innovative destination for international events.
The press trip, which took place from June 18 to 20, was attended by journalists representing the British media C&IT, C-MW, Sustain Europe, The European, as well as representatives of the Hungarian magazines Turizmus and Place2Go. In the course of the trip, the participants got acquainted with a wide range of Prague’s meetings offered – from modern meeting venues and top hotels to various incentive activities.
In addition to site visits to congress centres, social venues and hotel facilities, the journalists were treated to incentive programs reflecting the atmosphere of the city: beer sommelier dinner consisting of a 5-course menu inspired by Czech cuisine with selected beers, electric catamaran cruise on the Vltava River or visiting iconic Prague landmarks such as Prague Castle, the Municipal House or the Old New Synagogue. The press trip also offered the opportunity to meet local MICE professionals and service providers in person, giving journalists a detailed insight into the workings of Prague’s meetings ecosystem.
