A MULTIPURPOSE VENUE IN UPPER AUSTRIA

With the opening of Taurum Freistadt, Upper Austria has gained a new venue designed to accommodate a broad spectrum of events in one location. Situated in the Mühlviertel region, the venue combines a multifunctional hall, restaurant, bar, and access to adjacent hotel accommodation, making it suitable for corporate, cultural, and private gatherings.

The centrepiece of Taurum is its main event hall, Das Momentum, which offers a maximum capacity of 400 guests. The hall can be configured in different formats depending on the requirements of the organiser: theatre seating for presentations and lectures, banquet arrangements for gala dinners or weddings, or open floor layouts for concerts and cultural events. Excellent AV support is part of the standard equipment, reducing the need for external technical rentals and enabling organisers to run both large and mid-sized events efficiently.

Beyond the main hall, Taurum’s restaurant provides seating for around 200 people. It functions both as an independent dining destination and as a supplementary space for events – everything from welcome receptions and smaller celebrations to breakout sessions. During the warmer months, the landscaped garden and patio add further possibilities, accommodating up to 100 guests in an outdoor setting suitable for receptions, informal dinners, or coffee breaks.

Event organisers also benefit from Taurum’s integrated service structure. The venue provides support with planning, technical setup, catering logistics, and coordination, which helps reduce the administrative workload of external event teams.
