Hailed as the number 1 trade show in Asia, the ITE HCMC featured a rich complementary programme, a presentation of the national tourism strategy, rooted in sustainability and digital transformation, and several curated workshops designed to present the country’s diverse offerings to the world. The significance of the event lies in its role as a convergence point for over 40 countries. ITE HCMC is a platform where prominent industry stakeholders and tourism policymakers strategise to shape the region’s events industry. This event uniquely paired three major international events, amplifying Vietnam’s influence by gathering global decision-makers in one location.
Sustainable tourism – vibrant experience
One of the highlights of the event was the opening ceremony, immersing distinguished guests into the musical, cultural, and historic heritage of Vietnam through stunning performances that amazed the audience. Commenting on Vietnam’s future tourism strategy, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, the Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, explained: “Holding three events at the same time is a symbol of harmony in development strategy and vision. This is also a testament to our commitment: always accompanying and creating the most favourable environment for domestic and international enterprises to develop together and build a green, sustainable, and creative economic, tourism, and trade ecosystem.”

Vibrant, authentic, and future-facing destination
Named after the revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh, the city, also known as Saigon, boasts excellent infrastructure for supporting events. The novel Thiskyhall Convention Centre, which hosted the opening night, is a testament to Vietnam’s aspiration to become a regional leader. A team of handpicked media representatives and hosted buyers experienced the destination on bespoke tours that took them from vespa zigzagging through the narrow streets to a hands-on culinary workshop.

The 19th ITE HCMC reaffirmed Vietnam as a regional leader in the events industry and strengthened its appeal for events. Learn more about the event here.
