Organised biennially by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), ISPRS Geospatial Week is a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise. Its rich program includes a wide range of specialised workshops organised both by ISPRS working groups and leading international academic and industry institutions. It is here that new ideas, partnerships, and R&D projects are born, with a tangible impact on the development of geospatial technologies.
The hosts of the 2027 edition in Warsaw are:

– Association of Polish Surveyors (SGP)
The conference is also strongly supported by the professional congress organiser PCO Symposium Cracoviense. Poland’s candidacy was presented during GSW in Dubai in 2025 by Dr. hab. Krzysztof Bakuła, Professor at Warsaw University of Technology and President of PTFiT, who, following the successful bid, stated: “I am proud and delighted. Events such as ISPRS Geospatial Week not only strengthen international relations but also contribute to the development of the Polish cartographic community.”
Prof. Waldemar Walo, President of SGP and Polish Congress Ambassador, emphasised the importance of this success: “ISPRS Geospatial Week 2027 is another prestigious congress in which we are actively involved. Our goal is to bring together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation in this rapidly evolving field.”
The conference will focus on photogrammetry, remote sensing, and GIS as key tools for delivering geospatial information – essential to modern technologies and industries. Its mission is not only to strengthen the ISPRS community but also to highlight the interdisciplinary nature of these fields and their growing importance in science and the economy.
Founded in 1930, the Polish Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing has been closely associated with ISPRS since its inception. Now operating within the structures of SGP, PTFiT continues to serve as the official voice of Polish photogrammetry and remote sensing experts on the international stage.
In 2027, Warsaw will become the global centre of geospatial innovation, bringing together science, business, and the passion for discovery in one place.
