Before the MICHELIN Gastronomic Guide for Czechia is published in December, the Czech hotels that have received the prestigious MICHELIN Key award have been announced. This system is the hotel equivalent of the famous Michelin stars, which the company awards to restaurants for exceptional gastronomic quality. In the case of hotels, the focus is on service excellence, authenticity, design and the overall experience.
MICHELIN Key confirms the growing level of Czech hospitality
The MICHELIN Guide has introduced a new rating system for top hotels worldwide in 2024 – MICHELIN Key. From October 2025, it launched this unique concept in Czechia. It is a global initiative of MICHELIN, which has included domestic hotels in its rating, confirming the growing level of the Czech hospitality industry.
The hotels included in the MICHELIN Guide undergo a detailed assessment that emphasises authenticity, distinctiveness, location, quality of service and the overall guest experience. The key is not only the level of accommodation and gastronomy, but also how the hotel manages to create an atmosphere and impression that guests will remember.
In Czechia, there are more than ten hotels with the MICHELIN Key award. Two keys were awarded to the Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel. One each to Hotel BoHo Prague, Hotel Julius Prague, Hotel Four Seasons Prague, Augustine, The Luxury Collection, Hotel Andaz Prague, Mosaic House Design Hotel and Almanac X Alcron Prague. Among the hotels outside of Prague, the Chateau Mcely, Hotel Perk in Sumperk and Villa Julius & Emma in Karlovy Vary were among the winners.

Czechia is worth exploring in every way
MICHELIN Key connects cities and regions and shows that exceptional accommodation can be found not only in the capital, but all over the country. It is this diversity that confirms that the Czech hospitality industry is growing not only in quality, but also in offer and approach.
Keys of quality – three levels of exceptional experience
The MICHELIN Key recognises hotels that deliver an extraordinary experience that exceeds conventional standards – from architecture and interior design to personal touch and authenticity. As with restaurants, hotels can receive one to three keys that convey a level of excellence.
Quality and experiences that go beyond borders
The MICHELIN Key award reaffirms that the Czech tourism industry stands on a solid foundation of quality and professionalism. When you add to this natural hospitality, attention to detail and the traditional high quality of domestic design, you create a unique experience that attracts visitors from all over the world. Czechia is increasingly becoming a country where great gastronomy, exceptional hotels and authentic experiences come together in harmony and where guests feel truly welcome.
