Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, part of the Maistra Hospitality Group, has become the first and only Croatian hotel to be included in the prestigious list – The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025. This accolade has reaffirmed the hotel’s status as one of the leading luxury hotels in the region and beyond.

Tomislav Popović, CEO of Maistra, noted that this recognition is the result of a long-standing commitment to excellence and top-notch service, and also serves as an additional incentive in further positioning Istria as a luxury destination on the world tourist map, which will undoubtedly attract even more guests with higher spending power.

The list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels is based on the votes of more than 800 independent experts in the field of hospitality and luxury tourism – including hoteliers, travel writers, and hospitality professionals. The experts rate hotels according to the stay experience, quality of service, and overall experience, which ensures a credible and globally relevant list of the best hotels in the world.

“This is an exceptional recognition not only for Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, but also for the entire Maistra and all our employees who, every day, with great passion and dedication, create a unique experience for each guest. Being included in The World’s 50 Best Hotels confirms that our efforts, vision, and quality are recognised on a global level,” said Marko Bačić, director of Grand Park Hotel Rovinj, during the awards ceremony held in London.

In addition to this international recognition, the hotel’s other significant achievements this year include the prestigious Michelin Key award, which is awarded by the Michelin Guide to hotels that stand out for their exceptional quality of stay, design, and hospitality. Also, the Cap Aureo restaurant under the leadership of chef Jeffrey Vella won its first Michelin star, while the Agli Amici restaurant in Rovinj confirmed its two Michelin stars.
