PAYING HOMAGE TO THE 19th-century salon

In central Zagreb, Salon 6 has quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about new venues for creative, corporate, and cultural events. Situated on the fourth floor of a historic building at Zvonimirova 6, this 200-square-metre space reimagines the idea of a salon gathering for the 21st century.

Salon 6 was conceived by event professionals Andrea Turić and Marijana Drezgić Petrak, who combined their backgrounds in cultural production, strategy, and large-scale event organisation to transform what was once a private apartment into a venue with a distinctive character. The existing architectural features exude lavishness through golden chandeliers, handcrafted stuccos, and tile stoves. These elements were combined with modern lighting and modular furnishings to evoke the salons of historic Zagreb while serving contemporary event needs.

The venue’s approximately 200 m² footprint is distributed across five interconnected salons and adjoining rooms, each styled with a balance of classical and modern elements. This modular design allows the space to be reconfigured swiftly—tables and seating can be moved to create intimate corners or an open-plan environment tailored to the event. Salon 6’s maximum capacity is approximately 60 guests for workshops, meetings, or social receptions, with flexible furniture and lighting that enable multiple layouts depending on the format and scale.

The heart of the space is Nobl (35 m²), the largest salon, ideal for presentations, exhibitions, performances, or lectures. It can accommodate up to 40 people in a cinema setup, and is directly connected to Fayn and Fesh salons, allowing an elegant flow between the main program, lounge area, or catering part.

Situated in one of Zagreb’s most vibrant thoroughfares, Salon 6 benefits from exceptional urban accessibility, making it an appealing choice for local and international attendees. Its central location further enhances opportunities to link events with broader cultural and urban experiences. Behind the concept is a deliberate effort to foster gatherings that encourage dialogue, creative exchange, and community connection—echoing the historical salon tradition that once brought artists, thinkers, and innovators together.
