NEED TO KNOW IN 2026

Belfast’s hotel landscape continues to grow, with an impressive line-up of new openings and redevelopments that reflect the city’s confidence and momentum as a leading short-break and conference destination.

In October 2025, Moxy Belfast City, the vibrant Marriott lifestyle brand, opened, bringing bold design, social energy and smart tech to the heart of the city. In the Summer, the Margot refurbishment and launch of Rudi, a new dining and bar destination, will further elevate Belfast’s growing food and late-night social scene. Ongoing investment continues with the Haymarket expansion, adding new event and leisure spaces to one of Belfast’s most popular entertainment hubs.

Looking ahead to early 2026, The Bedford, a chic boutique hotel inspired by the city’s linen heritage, is targeting an opening in early 2026, while the dual-branded Aloft and Residence Inn by Marriott development is also due to open in March 2026, adding further international capacity and choice for visitors. Down by the Titanic Quarter, one of Europe’s most ambitious waterfront regeneration projects, hotel development continues to strengthen the area’s visitor appeal. Plans are progressing for new mixed-use hospitality schemes adjacent to Titanic Belfast and Thompson Dock, complementing the established Titanic Hotel Belfast and the growing leisure and cruise activity across Belfast Harbour.

Together, these developments underscore Belfast’s growing appeal as a dynamic, design-led and welcoming destination, where global brands and independent operators alike are investing in the city’s future.

BEST INCENTIVE IDEA IN 2026

Perched dramatically on the shores of Strangford Lough, Quintin Castle offers one of Northern Ireland’s most exclusive and atmospheric incentive experiences. Dating back to the 12th century and recently restored to five-star splendour, the castle becomes a private haven for bespoke team experiences. Activities can include falconry displays on the lawns, coastal treasure hunts, whisky tastings in the Great Hall, or a medieval-style banquet featuring your own private Chef using local seafood and artisan produce. For smaller groups, private storytelling sessions reveal the castle’s legends and noble past, while fireside receptions and live folk music create an unforgettable close to the day. Quintin Castle combines history, luxury, and adventure, making it perfect for incentive groups seeking authenticity and exclusivity along the stunning Northern Irish coastline.
