International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by Legends Global, has launched its Event Management Graduate Program for the second consecutive year in collaboration with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
Building on the success of the inaugural program, ICC Sydney has doubled its intake for 2026, welcoming two Bachelor of Management (Events) graduates, Nick Broekhuis and Mya Lovelock, as part of its continued investment in developing the next generation of event professionals.
The two-year paid program provides graduates with hands-on experience across ICC Sydney’s core operational and commercial functions. Nick and Mya will rotate through disciplines including business development, event planning and event delivery gaining a holistic understanding of the end-to-end event lifecycle at Australia’s premier convention, exhibition and entertainment venue.

UTS Business School’s Director, Bachelor of Management, Dr Meg Hibbins, said: “We’re delighted to reenergise our partnership with ICC Sydney this year to create valuable opportunities for our event management graduates. Collaborating with a best‑practice venue of this calibre allows our students to bring their learning to life in an environment that reflects the highest standards of our industry. Emerging event professionals are eager to apply their knowledge, build confidence and gain real‑world experience that accelerates their careers. The expanded Event Management Graduate Program with ICC Sydney supports a clear pathway into the sector, one that our most dedicated and talented students aspire to as they complete their studies with UTS,” Dr Hibbins said.
Nick Broekhuis said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join ICC Sydney through this graduate program. Being able to apply what I’ve learned at UTS in a world‑class venue is an exciting next step in my career. I’m looking forward to learning from industry professionals and gaining hands‑on experience across the business that will set me up for the future.”
Mya Lovelock said: “Being selected for the program is a real honour, and I’m thrilled to begin my journey with ICC Sydney. It’s the perfect environment to bring my studies to life and grow as an event professional. I can’t wait to immerse myself in different parts of the organisation and build the skills and confidence that will shape my career over the next two years.”
