HISTORICAL TRADITION AND MODERN WINEMAKING

In the vineyards of the Slovak Tokaj wine region, Château Grand Bari is crafting a distinct story that bridges historical tradition and modern winemaking, while evolving into a destination for tasting, events and immersive wine tourism. Situated in the village of Veľká Bara, this winery is emblematic of a rising generation of producers in one of the world’s smallest yet most revered wine areas.

Château Grand Bari covers roughly 60 hectares of vineyards planted on volcanic soils around the elevated slopes of Piliš hill. The estate cultivates key varieties such as Yellow Muscat, Hárslevelű and Furmint, and produces wines that express the region’s characteristic minerality. Visitors encounter a unique combination of traditional underground tuff cellars and contemporary winery spaces. The cellar complex, threaded with historic tunnels and anchored by an original wine press from 1873, connects guests with centuries of vinicultural heritage while modern production facilities support quality and consistency.

A modern, air-conditioned restaurant with panoramic views serves as a convivial centrepiece for guests. The outdoor terrace features barbecue facilities, and the space is ideal for corporate events, private parties, and weddings.
